DESCRIPTION: Come visit the peaceful, remote location of Vya, NV and enjoy the beautiful Old Yella Dog Ranch (located 22 miles east of Cedarville, CA). Situated along an historic Emigrant Trail, this 4,300-acre cattle ranch is in a very peaceful setting amongst the hills, juniper and fragrant sage. The small rural community of Vya, abandoned in the early 1900's, is now mostly inhabited by cattle, eagles, hawks, jack rabbits and the occasional bobcat and mountain lion - all here for your enjoyment.

Ranch activities (Memorial Day thru October) include cattle drives and roundups, astronomy, bird watching, hunting, photography, rock hunting, and wildlife viewing. Area activities include a casino, golf, hot springs and massage, museum, and opal mining.
